The Economic Development Corporation Vorpommern (WFG) was set up in March 2002 to promote the region and improve its economic structure. Shareholders are the administrative district Ostvorpommern, the admistrative district Rügen, the administrative district Nordvorpommern, the University and Hanseatic town of Greifswald, Hanseatic town of Stralsund and the Sparkasse Vorpommern. WFG is subdivided into the following areas: tourism, life science, telecommunication/hi-tech agriculture, maritime and metal industries, energy as well as services.

We are a modern service company set up with the purpose of marketing the Vorpommern region in the best possible way. We offer information, advice, support and tailor-made solutions to companies wishing to expand, restructure or settle in our region. We are in close contact with district and town offices of business promotion. We work for you free of charge.
